Please Note: By accessing the Iowa Code through this online legislative service you will find Iowa Code sections inclusive of all laws passed during the 2019 legislative session. Laws enacted during the 2019 legislative session impacting auto dealers will be brought to the attention of dealers in their updated dealer education class materials. Proposed administrative rules changes also will be brought to the attention of dealers.

The home page of the Iowa Legislature has a section called "Popular Links" under which you can find a listing of the enrolled bills. This will pull up a listing of all legislation passed during the 2019 legislative session, when it becomes effective and if the Governor has signed the bill. The website also recaps the code sections that were amended during the current legislative session.

Bills that were being worked upon during the 2019 legislative session which did not get passed during 2019 are eligible to come up during the 2020 session.

This page also tells you how to find the Iowa Administrative Code which is a compilation of the various departmental rules which implement the laws of Iowa.
